Tack House Recording is a private recording studio located in Woodinville, Washington. We work with songwriters, bands, ensembles, and other musicians to plan, arrange, record, mix, master, and release high fidelity stereophonic recordings.
To make the most of your time and to capture each source with optimal sound quality, we use top-shelf equipment maintained in good working order. Excellent microphones, world-class preamplifiers, premium headphones, and high quality cables and stands make getting great sounds quick work, leaving more time to focus on capturing the right performance for your project.
Gear is great, but your creative experience is our first priority. Every recording project presents moments of discovery, surprise, frustration and joy. We are with you every step of the way, offering tea, remembering to take breaks, and suggesting when to keep going when the iron is hot. We aim to earn and build your trust and confidence to create moments where you feel free to try new things.
The Tack House Studio is a single room facility located on a private, two-acre residential property. The building’s interior measures twelve by twenty-two feet with a ten-foot vaulted ceiling. Lapboard walls and acoustic treatment make for great conditions for tracking vocals, drums and other instruments. The open plan and close quarters provide flexibility to setup and tear down microphones and other equipment quickly, making changes in direction and approach fast and efficient. Our room is configured to follow your creative muse.
For remote recording sessions, we bring the studio to you. With a full host of stands, cables, monitors, and racks, we can bring studio-quality 20-channel recording to your rehearsal or performance space. We can also suggest and connect you with unique locations suited for remote recording sessions to impart distinct and unique sounds not available in traditional recording studios.
